A vacant two bedroom / two bathroom floor through apartment with original details presented an opportunity to upgrade to current standards and expectations for a rental apartment in a luxury elevator brownstone building.
The kitchens and bathrooms were not the original ones, but dated upgrades, that needed to be gutted and renovated. The intricate flooring and wood paneled living room, however, were in good condition. The challenge was to upgrade and tie together the old and the new in this pre-war apartment.
The renovation plan included two new bathrooms, a new kitchen, and new electrical service and distribution. The original details were left in place and restored. We think the combination is particularly appealing for today’s discriminating renter, that wants luxury, privacy, and elegance under one roof. We are very proud of the results. Now future renters, will enjoy the benefits for years to come…and the building owner, should have consistently higher cash flow.
